Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these terms is to regulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the cyber mall and users in using the internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by Meta Bank Mall (hereinafter referred to as the "Mall"), operated by Meta Bank Co., Ltd. (e-commerce business operator), through http://www.metabank3d.com and http://www.realmeta3d.com.


※ "These terms shall also apply to electronic commerce using PC communication, wireless, etc., unless they are contrary to their nature."


Article 2 (Definitions)


① The term "Mall" refers to a virtual business place established by Meta Bank Co., Ltd., using computer and information communication facilities to enable transactions of goods or services (hereinafter referred to as "Goods, etc.") to be provided to users. It also refers to the operator conducting cyber mall operations.

② The term "user" refers to both members and non-members who access the "Mall" and receive the services provided by the "Mall" in accordance with these terms.

③ A "member" refers to a person who has registered as a member of the "Mall" and can continuously use the services provided by the "Mall."

④ A "non-member" refers to a person who uses the services provided by the "Mall" without registering as a member.



Article 3 (Specification, Explanation, and Amendment of the Terms and Conditions)


① The "Mall" shall post on the initial service screen (front) of Metabank a notice containing the contents of these terms, as well as the name of the business, the name of the representative, the address of the business office (including the address where consumer complaints can be handled), telephone number, fax number, email address, business registration number, electronic commerce registration number, and the person responsible for personal information management, to make it easily accessible to users. However, the contents of the terms may be made available to users via a linked screen.

② Before the user agrees to the terms, the "Mall" must provide a separate linked screen or popup screen to ensure that the user can understand important contents such as withdrawal of subscription, delivery responsibility, and refund conditions specified in the terms, and obtain the user's confirmation.

③ The "Mall" may amend these terms within the scope not violating related laws such as the Electronic Commerce Act, the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Electronic Documents and Transactions Act, the Electronic Financial Transactions Act, the Electronic Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Door-to-Door Sales Act, the Consumer Basic Act.

④ When the "Mall" amends the terms, it shall announce the effective date and reason for the amendment on the initial screen of the mall from seven days before the effective date to the day before the effective date, along with the current terms. However, in the case of changing the terms to the disadvantage of the user, the "Mall" shall announce it with at least a 30-day prior notice. In this case, the "Mall" shall clearly compare the contents before and after the amendment to make it easy for users to understand.

⑤ The amended terms shall only apply to contracts concluded after the effective date of the amendment, and the provisions of the terms before the amendment shall apply to contracts already concluded. However, if a user who has already entered into a contract wishes to apply the amended terms, and sends a request to the "Mall" within the notice period of the amended terms as per the third paragraph, the amended terms shall apply.

⑥ Matters not specified in these terms and the interpretation of these terms shall be governed by the Electronic Commerce Act, the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Guidelines for Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce established by the Fair Trade Commission, relevant laws and customs.


Article 4 (Provision and Amendment of Services)


① The "Mall" performs the following tasks:

Providing information on goods or services and concluding purchase contracts

Delivering goods or services for which purchase contracts have been concluded

Other tasks designated by the "Mall"

② In cases such as the depletion of goods or changes in technical specifications, the "Mall" may change the contents of goods or services to be provided under future contracts. In such cases, the "Mall" immediately announces the changed contents of goods or services and the date of provision where the current contents of goods or services are posted.

③ If the "Mall" needs to change the contents of the services contracted with the user due to reasons such as depletion of goods or changes in technical specifications, it shall immediately notify the user at an address where the user can be reached.

④ In the case of the preceding paragraph, the "Mall" shall compensate the user for any damages incurred. However, this shall not apply if the "Mall" proves that there was no intentional or negligent fault.

Article 5 (Suspension of Service)


① The "Mall" may temporarily suspend the provision of services if reasons such as maintenance, replacement, or malfunction of computer or information communication facilities, or interruption of communication occur.

② The "Mall" compensates for any damages incurred by users or third parties due to the temporary suspension of service for the reasons stated in paragraph 1. However, this does not apply if the "Mall" proves that there was no intentional or negligent fault.

③ If the "Mall" becomes unable to provide services due to reasons such as a change in business items, abandonment of business, or integration between companies, the "Mall" shall notify users in accordance with Article 8 and compensate consumers according to the conditions initially presented by the "Mall." However, if the "Mall" has not disclosed compensation standards, it shall pay users in kind or in cash equivalent to the currency value applicable in the "Mall," such as mileage or accrued points of users.


Article 6 (Membership Registration)


① Users apply for membership registration by completing the membership information according to the registration form provided by the "Mall" and expressing their consent to these terms.

② The "Mall" registers users as members who have applied for membership as stated in paragraph 1, unless they fall under any of the following subparagraphs:


If the applicant has previously lost membership status under Article 7, paragraph 3 of these terms, provided that an exception applies if three years have passed since the loss of membership status under Article 7, paragraph 3, and the "Mall" has granted re-registration approval.

If there is false, omitted, or incorrect information in the registration details.

If it is deemed significantly detrimental to the "Mall's" technical capabilities to register the user as a member for any other reason.

③ The time of establishment of the membership registration contract shall be the moment when the acceptance by the "Mall" reaches the member.

④ If there are any changes to the information provided at the time of membership registration, the member must notify the "Mall" of such changes through methods such as modifying member information within a reasonable period.

Article 7 (Withdrawal of Membership and Loss of Qualification, etc.)


① Members may request withdrawal from the "Mall" at any time, and the "Mall" will promptly process the withdrawal of membership.

② If a member falls under any of the following reasons, the "Mall" may restrict or suspend the membership:


If false information was provided during registration.

If the member fails to pay debts related to the use of the "Mall," such as the price of goods purchased through the "Mall," by the due date.

If the member disrupts the use of the "Mall" by others or misappropriates their information, thereby threatening the order of electronic commerce.

If the member engages in actions prohibited by laws or these terms or contrary to public order and morals through the use of the "Mall."

If a member under the age of 19 wishes to enter into a service contract, they must obtain consent from their legal guardian (parent). The legal guardian's consent to the service contract is confirmed by submitting the necessary documents specified by the "Mall" to the Mall's customer center via email. If a member under the age of 19 enters into a contract falsely without the consent of the legal guardian, the member or legal guardian may cancel it.

③ If the "Mall" restricts or suspends membership status and the same behavior is repeated twice or if the reason is not corrected within 30 days, the "Mall" may terminate the membership.

④ If the "Mall" terminates membership status, the member registration will be deleted. In this case, the "Mall" shall notify the member, and before deleting the member registration, provide an opportunity for explanation for a minimum of 30 days.


Article 8 (Notification to Members)


① When the "Mall" notifies members, it may be done to the email address designated by the member and agreed upon in advance with the "Mall."

② In the case of notifications to an unspecified number of members, the "Mall" may post them on the "Mall" bulletin board for more than one week, instead of individual notifications. However, for matters that significantly affect the member's transactions, individual notifications shall be made.


Article 9 (Purchase Application and Consent to Provide Personal Information, etc.)


① "Mall" users apply for purchases through the "Mall" by methods similar to the following, and the "Mall" must provide the following information in an easy-to-understand manner when users make purchase requests:

Searching and selecting goods or services.

Entering the recipient's name, address, phone number, email address (or mobile phone number), etc.

Confirmation of the terms and conditions, services with restricted withdrawal rights, and confirmation of costs such as delivery and installation fees.

Agreement to these terms and conditions and confirmation or refusal of the information in (3) above (e.g., by mouse click).

Consent to the purchase request or confirmation by the "Mall."

Selecting a payment method.

② If the "Mall" needs to provide the purchaser's personal information to a third party, it must inform the purchaser of: 1) the recipient of the personal information, 2) the purpose of using the recipient's personal information, 3) the items of personal information provided, and 4) the period of retention and use of the provided personal information, and obtain consent. (The same applies if the agreed-upon items change.)

③ If the "Mall" entrusts the handling of personal information to a third party for business purposes, it must inform the purchaser of: 1) the recipient of the entrusted personal information, 2) the contents of the entrusted personal information handling, and obtain consent. (The same applies if the agreed-upon items change.) However, if it is necessary for the performance of the service contract and is related to the convenience of the purchaser, it may be notified through the personal information handling policy as an alert, without going through the notification and consent process, as stipulated by the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc."

④ If the "Mall" changes hosting, it may register customer information, including that of all users, including dormant members who have not logged in for one year, with the new hosting provider for the purpose of service continuity management by the "Mall.“


Article 10 (Formation of Contract)


① The "Mall" may not accept the purchase request under the following conditions, and if a contract is concluded with a minor, it must notify them that the minor or their legal guardian may cancel the contract if consent is not obtained from the legal guardian:


If there is false, missing, or incorrect information in the application.

If a minor purchases goods or services prohibited by the Juvenile Protection Act, such as tobacco or alcohol.

If accepting the purchase request would significantly impede the "Mall's" technical operations.

② The contract is considered concluded at the time the "Mall's" acceptance reaches the user in the form of a receipt confirmation notice under Article 12(1).

③ The "Mall's" acceptance must include confirmation of the user's purchase request, information on the availability of the item for sale, and the ability to amend or cancel the purchase request.

Article 11 (Payment Methods)


Payment methods for goods or services purchased from the "Mall" may be made through the available methods listed below. However, the "Mall" cannot impose any additional charges on the user's payment method for the price of goods or services:


Various account transfers such as phone banking, internet banking, and mail banking.

Various card payments such as prepaid cards, debit cards, and credit cards.

Online bank transfers without an account.

Payment via electronic currency.

Payment upon receipt.

Payment via points or mileage provided by the "Mall."

Payment via vouchers or gift cards contracted or recognized by the "Mall."

Payment via other electronic payment methods.


Article 12 (Receipt Confirmation Notice, Change, and Cancellation of Purchase Requests)


① The "Mall" shall send a receipt confirmation notice to the user if there is a purchase request.

② Upon receiving the receipt confirmation notice, if there is any discrepancy in the intention, the user may immediately request a change or cancellation of the purchase request, and the "Mall" must promptly process the request before delivery. However, if payment has already been made, the provisions of Article 15 regarding withdrawal of offers shall apply.


Article 13 (Supply of Goods)


① Unless otherwise agreed, the "Mall" shall take necessary measures such as order production and packaging to ensure that goods are delivered within 7 days from the date the user placed the order. However, if the "Mall" has already received all or part of the payment for the goods, it shall take action within 3 business days from the date of receiving all or part of the payment. At this time, the "Mall" shall take appropriate measures to allow the user to confirm the supply process and progress of the goods.

② The "Mall" shall specify the delivery method, party responsible for the delivery costs per method, and the delivery period per method for the goods purchased by the user. If the "Mall" exceeds the agreed delivery period, it must compensate the user for any resulting damages, unless the "Mall" can prove that it was not intentional or negligent.


Article 14 (Refund)


If the "Mall" cannot deliver or provide the goods or services requested by the user due to reasons such as stockout, it shall promptly notify the user of the reason and refund the payment within 3 business days from the date of receiving the payment or take necessary measures for the refund.


Article 15 (Withdrawal of Offer, etc.)


① A user who has entered into a contract with the "Mall" for the purchase of goods may withdraw the offer within 7 days from the date of receiving a written contract under Article 13(2) of the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act (referring to the date of receiving the written contract, or if the supply of goods is delayed, the date of receiving or starting the supply of goods). However, if there are other provisions regarding withdrawal of offer under the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act, those provisions shall apply.

② If the user has received the goods, they cannot return or exchange them under the following circumstances:


The goods have been lost or damaged due to the user's fault (except when the packaging is damaged to inspect the contents of the goods).

The value of the goods has significantly decreased due to the user's use or partial consumption.

The value of the goods has significantly decreased to the extent that resale is difficult due to the passage of time.

If the original packaging of the goods, which can be replicated with the same performance, has been damaged.

③ If the "Mall" did not clearly indicate the restriction on withdrawal of offer or provide measures such as indicating it in an easily accessible place or providing trial products, the withdrawal of offer by the user is not restricted.

④ Despite the provisions of paragraphs (1) and (2), if the contents of the goods differ from the displayed or advertised contents, or if they are not performed according to the contract, the user may withdraw the offer within 3 months from the date of receiving the goods or within 30 days from the date they knew or could have known about the fact.


Article 16 (Effects of Withdrawal of Offer, etc.)


① If the "Mall" receives returned goods from the user, it shall refund the payment for the received goods within 3 business days. In the event of a delay in refunding the goods to the user, the "Mall" shall pay the user delay interest calculated by multiplying the delay interest rate specified in Article 21-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce Transactions.

② When refunding the above payment, if the user has paid for the goods using a credit card or electronic currency, the "Mall" shall promptly request the business entity that provided the payment method to suspend or cancel the charge for the goods.

③ In the case of withdrawal of offer, the user shall bear the necessary costs for returning the received goods. The "Mall" shall not claim liquidated damages or compensation from the user for withdrawing the offer. However, if the user withdraws the offer due to discrepancies between the contents of the goods and the displayed/advertised contents or the contract, the "Mall" shall bear the costs necessary for returning the goods.

④ If the user has borne the shipping costs when receiving the goods, the "Mall" shall clearly indicate who bears the cost upon withdrawal of offer for the user to easily understand.


Article 17 (Protection of Personal Information)


① When collecting user's personal information, the "Mall" shall collect the minimum necessary personal information within the scope necessary for providing the service.

② The "Mall" shall not collect information necessary for performing purchase contracts at the time of membership registration in advance. However, if it is necessary to verify the identity prior to entering into a purchase contract due to legal obligations, the "Mall" may collect specific personal information to a minimum extent.

③ When collecting and using user's personal information, the "Mall" shall notify the user of the purpose and obtain consent from the user.

④ The "Mall" may not use the collected personal information for purposes other than the intended purpose, and when new purposes arise or when providing it to a third party, it shall notify the user of the purpose and obtain consent at the time of use or provision. However, this is not applicable if otherwise provided by relevant laws.

⑤ When the user's consent is required under paragraphs (2) and (3), the "Mall" must specify or notify in advance the matters prescribed in Article 22(2) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, such as the identity of the personal information manager (affiliation, name, and telephone number, etc.), the purpose of collecting and using information, and matters related to providing information to third parties, and the user may withdraw this consent at any time.

⑥ The user may request to view and correct their personal information held by the "Mall" at any time, and the "Mall" shall promptly take necessary measures. Until the error is corrected, the "Mall" shall not use the personal information.

⑦ The "Mall" shall limit the handling of user's personal information to a minimum to protect personal information, and shall be responsible for all damages suffered by the user due to loss, theft, leakage, provision to third parties without consent, tampering, etc., of the user's personal information, including credit cards and bank accounts.

⑧ The "Mall" or third parties who have received personal information from it shall promptly destroy the personal information when the purpose of collecting or receiving the information has been achieved.

⑨ The "Mall" shall not pre-select the consent box for collecting, using, or providing personal information. In addition, when refusing the user's consent for collecting, using, or providing personal information not necessary for essential collection items, the "Mall" shall clearly specify the specific services restricted by the user's refusal of consent for collecting, using, or providing personal information, and shall not restrict or refuse membership registration or service provision due to the user's refusal of consent for collecting, using, or providing personal information, which is not a mandatory collection item.


Article 18 (Obligations of the "Mall")


① The "Mall" shall not engage in any acts prohibited by laws and this agreement, and shall make continuous and stable efforts to provide goods or services according to the provisions of this agreement.

② The "Mall" shall establish a security system to protect user's personal information (including credit information) so that users can safely use internet services.

③ If the "Mall" causes damage to the user due to unfair labeling or advertising practices specified in Article 3 of the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising in relation to products or services, it shall be liable for compensation.

④ The "Mall" shall not send commercial electronic mails for profit purposes that the user did not request.



Article 19 (Obligations Regarding Member's ID and Password)


① Except for the cases specified in Article 17, the management responsibility for the ID and password lies with the member.

② Members must not allow third parties to use their ID and password.

③ If a member becomes aware that their ID and password have been stolen or are being used by a third party, they must immediately notify the "Mall" and follow its instructions if guidance is provided.


Article 20 (User's Obligations)


Users must not engage in the following activities:


Registering false information upon application or modification

Impersonating others

Altering information posted on the "Mall"

Transmitting or posting information (such as computer programs) other than the information specified by the "Mall"

Infringing upon the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of the "Mall" or third parties

Damaging the honor of the "Mall" or third parties, or disrupting business operations

Disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, audio, or other information that goes against public morals on the "Mall"

Article 21 (Relationship between Linked "Mall" and Linked-from "Mall")


① When an upper "Mall" and a lower "Mall" are connected through methods such as hyperlinks (e.g., the target of the hyperlink includes text, images, and animations), the former is referred to as the linked "Mall" (website), and the latter is referred to as the linked-from "Mall" (website).

② If the linked "Mall" explicitly states on its initial screen or popup screen at the time of connection that it does not guarantee the transactions conducted with users based on the goods independently provided by the linked-from "Mall," it shall not be liable for such transactions.


Article 22 (Ownership and Restriction of Use of Copyright)


① The copyrights and other intellectual property rights to works created by the "Mall" belong to the "Mall."

② Users must not replicate, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise commercially utilize information belonging to the "Mall" without the prior consent of the "Mall" if it is intellectual property owned by the "Mall" and obtained through the use of the "Mall."

③ If the "Mall" uses the copyrights belonging to users pursuant to an agreement, it must notify the user concerned.


Article 23 (Dispute Resolution)


① The "Mall" establishes and operates a dispute compensation organization to reflect legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and compensate for damages.

② The "Mall" prioritizes the handling of complaints and opinions submitted by users. However, if prompt resolution is difficult, the reasons and schedule for resolution are immediately communicated to the user.

③ In the event of an e-commerce dispute between the "Mall" and a user, if the user requests remediation for damages, it may be resolved according to the mediation of a dispute resolution organization commissioned by the Fair Trade Commission or the governor of a city or province.


Article 24 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)


① Lawsuits related to e-commerce disputes between the "Mall" and users shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local court having jurisdiction over the user's address at the time of filing, or if there is no address, the court having jurisdiction over the user's domicile. However, if the user's address or domicile is unclear at the time of filing or if the user is a foreign resident, the lawsuit shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

② Korean law shall apply to e-commerce lawsuits filed between the "Mall" and users.


Supplementary Provision (Effective Date) These terms and conditions shall be effective from February 24, 2022.
